Lupines 3, Acrylic, 7" x 5", sold
Today's painting was done with Acylics and I thought I would tell you about the paints I use. They are Chroma Atelier Interactive Acrylics. These paints are made in Australia and I get them from Jerry's Artarama. These paints are different than the ordinary acrylics, these acrylics don't dry too quickly and you are able to blend as if you were using oils. I really love them and many of my friends don't even realize they are not oil. Hope you enjoy this little bit of information.

Colored Pencils and Oil Pastels, sold
This is an older painting that my son owns. I thought you might enjoy seeing it. The size is about 20" x 24". I have not been painting at all lately. My husband John has had a total hip replacement and has been in rehab for two weeks plus the four days in the hospital. I have been seeing him everyday and also at home have been doing a lot of cleaning up and throwing out. Trying to de clutter the house. Today we had good news and he will be coming home tomorrow and I am so happy. The house looks good and very welcoming. He has been greatly missed by me and our dog Missy and all our wonderful neighbors and friends and our great kids. Now maybe I can get back to my art. Love to all.

Three Strawberries, Oil, 5" x 5", sold
I painted today for the first time in two weeks. I am so excited I wanted you to see the strawberries today. I know it is not a good photograph but as soon as it dries I will scan it. I used three colors Gamblin Cad Yellow light, Perylene Red and Ultramarine Blue and PermalbaWhite. It was a challenge but so much fun to do.

Boot and Nest, Oil, 16" x 20", sold
This is not a new painting but one that makes me think of fall and winter coming. It was 37 degrees when I woke up this morning and it felt mighty chilly. I taught today and as always a wonderful day. Later when Missy and I got home, we took another walk a very brisk walk. The leaves are changing and looking more beautiful every day. Missy loves this kind of weather. Jennifer gave Missy a Halloween present a very cute ladybug outfit to go trick or treating with. She loves to wear little outfits so she wore her new one all through class. I hope you know I am working on scarves for the show (opening Nov 7th) and I really miss painting my daily paintings. I will start up as soon as I am done for this show. Love to all.

Two Green Tomatoes Two, Oil, 8" x 10"
Here is the second of my Two Green Tomato series. I am happy with these. All the paintings I show on this blog are framed and ready to hang. I need to get an ebay account and an Esty account. I am all set with paypal, I need my daughter to help me get these accounts going, sorry but I am not confident about doing this alone. Maybe tomorrow I will give ebay a chance. Finished two scarves yesterday and have two more stretched and ready to draw and wax and paint. I expect I will have photographs ready for my Izolajeanne blog tomorrow.

Apple Blossoms, Oil, Image size 20" x 28"
Today I decided to finish my oil painting of Apple Blossoms. The image size is 20"x28" and framed it is 21 1/2" x 29 1/2". I really am happy with this painting. I have another painting that I really finished and that is a tree at Bryce Canyon, an oil, Image size 20" x 28", framed size 21 1/2" x 29 1/2". Both paintings are $900 each. It feels good to finish these two paintings. I need to concentrate on the scarves but this weekend I didn't paint my daily paintings and I missed doing that so much. So this morning before anything else I finished a 5"x5"oil Pear on Purple. As soon as it is dry enough I will post it.

Red Tomato, Oil, 5" x 5",sold
Here it is the first small oil painting, Red Tomato, 5" x 5". $75. I am just so excited about doing a small painting. At the beginning of my doing small paintings I was totally not able to paint small. I love big and I painted big but now I am so enjoying these small pieces. I also have to thank one and all who have emailed me or made comments. It is the most wonderful feeling knowing you have artist friends out there rooting for you and the biggest thing is being able to go visit all of you on your magnificent blogs.

Three Plums, Acrylic,6" x 6"
Here are the plums I had a hard time painting them. Some days are harder than others. It has been a slow day too. I need a good book. Classes start next week and I am looking forward to seeing all my friends/students. I am looking forward to my next painting and maybe that one will pull me out of this slump.

Wild Purple Iris, Acrylic, 6" x 6",sold
This surely is the wildest Iris I have painted. I also painted the background with Gold paint. I am interested in using Gold Leaf or Metal leaf. Has anyone used Gold Leaf? I would be so interested in how you used it. I would love to hear from you. I am working on Three Plums and I am really happy with it. The colors are as calm as this painting is wild. The weather is gorgeous today, totally different than yesterday. I wish you all a wonderful day.

Roasted a chicken and cooked carrots and green beans, Yummy. After dinner I came into the studio and painted on a 22" x 22" scarf. It is a dragon, I love dragons. I got about half done and I am happy. I am off to bed to read and later to sleep. Good Night Everyone. Did I tell you I am happy. I love looking at artists blogs. Bananas and Fruit and Glass Bowl, Oil, Sold
A while ago I put all my banana paintings together so you could see the series as a whole. I could not find an image of this particular painting but lo and behold I managed to find it and upload it so you could all see it. I work in series of eight so I still have two more to go. This painting is sold and the owners are very happy
