Lupines 3, Acrylic, 7" x 5", sold

Today's painting was done with Acylics and I thought I would tell you about the paints I use. They are Chroma Atelier Interactive Acrylics. These paints are made in Australia and I get them from Jerry's Artarama. These paints are different than the ordinary acrylics, these acrylics don't dry too quickly and you are able to blend as if you were using oils. I really love them and many of my friends don't even realize they are not oil. Hope you enjoy this little bit of information.

Colored Pencils and Oil Pastels, sold

This is an older painting that my son owns. I thought you might enjoy seeing it. The size is about 20" x 24". I have not been painting at all lately. My husband John has had a total hip replacement and has been in rehab for two weeks plus the four days in the hospital. I have been seeing him everyday and also at home have been doing a lot of cleaning up and throwing out. Trying to de clutter the house. Today we had good news and he will be coming home tomorrow and I am so happy. The house looks good and very welcoming. He has been greatly missed by me and our dog Missy and all our wonderful neighbors and friends and our great kids. Now maybe I can get back to my art. Love to all.

The Campfire, Oil, 18" x 24", sold

It's raining and cold today, I would like to be sitting in front of the campfire right now but I am busy painting on my scarves. I should have twenty by the end of the week. I just finished a 30" x 30" and the next one is a long one and that will have a sheep design. What fun I am having.

Boot and Nest, Oil, 16" x 20", sold

This is not a new painting but one that makes me think of fall and winter coming. It was 37 degrees when I woke up this morning and it felt mighty chilly. I taught today and as always a wonderful day. Later when Missy and I got home, we took another walk a very brisk walk. The leaves are changing and looking more beautiful every day. Missy loves this kind of weather. Jennifer gave Missy a Halloween present a very cute ladybug outfit to go trick or treating with.
She loves to wear little outfits so she wore her new one all through class. I hope you know I am working on scarves for the show (opening Nov 7th) and I really miss painting my daily paintings. I will start up as soon as I am done for this show. Love to all.

Two Green Tomatoes Two, Oil, 8" x 10"

Here is the second of my Two Green Tomato series. I am happy with these. All the paintings I show on this blog are framed and ready to hang. I need to get an ebay account and an Esty account. I am all set with paypal, I need my daughter to help me get these accounts going, sorry but I am not confident about doing this alone. Maybe tomorrow I will give ebay a chance. Finished two scarves yesterday and have two more stretched and ready to draw and wax and paint. I expect I will have photographs ready for my Izolajeanne blog tomorrow.

Here it is the first small oil painting, Red Tomato, 5" x 5". $75. I am just so excited about doing a small painting. It is the most wonderful feeling knowing you have artist friends out there rooting for you and the biggest thing is being able to go visit all of you on your magnificent blogs.

The weather is gorgeous today, totally different than yesterday. I wish you all a wonderful day.
